Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is an upcoming third-person action-adventure stealth game published by Ubisoft. It is the sixth installment of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series and will act as a sequel to Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Synopsis:Following the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Patricia Caldwell, the President of the United States, orders the corrupt Third Echelon terminated and all it's operations ceased. President Caldwell forms Fourth Echelon – a team of elite operatives drawn from different agencies, who operate in a mobile environment and perform missions assigned by the President. Former Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher is appointed Commander of Fourth Echelon.

While Third Echelon is shutting down, Fourth Echelon activates. A group of twelve terrorists initiate a terror ultimatum called "The Blacklist" – a deadly countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on United States assets. Fisher and his team must hunt these terrorists down and stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero.

Characters: Blacklist again stars Sam Fisher as the commander of the newly instated Fourth Echelon. The game also sees the return of Fisher's old ally, Anna 'Grim' Grímsdóttir, along with new characters such as Isaac Briggs and Charlie Cole. Victor Coste and Andriy Kobin reprise their roles from Conviction.

Gameplay: Blacklist introduces a new gameplay mechanic called killing in motion, allowing the player to highlight targets and take them out in quick succession, with a new fluidity while on the run. The game is set in a third-person perspective so the protagonist and the objects around him are visible. As well, there will be voice integration with Xbox 360's Kinect peripheral, which will allow gamers to say things to distract enemies and then attack. And finally, in Blacklist, you can use the Kinect sensor to control the protagonist by yourself instead of using the Xbox 360 Controller.

Multiplayer: The game's designer Maxime Béland confirmed that the "spy vs. mercs" competitive mode from the prior games of the series would be making a return. The first look of this mode was announced to be presented on May 2, 2013 as seen in the puzzle reveal video.
